Thanks so much for all your news. It was great to be able to check on you every once in a while. I am not the best at responding to email, but did want you to know I enjoyed reading of your travels. By the way, congratulations on your job. I hope it is going well. I have taught children with special needs for many years and currently have several children with autism. You may want to check out The Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. It’s a great read with deep perspective on the mind of a child with autism.

It sounds like a fascinating book. It really is interesting to me how that kind of thing changes over time though most of the time we think of it as static because a lot of what makes up the phenomenon seems so fundamental! I really need to pick your brain about new books to read as soon as I get home!

I think a book you should check out is Michel Foucault’s History of Sexuality. You are talking about culture and cultural perceptions of sex, and that’s just what Foucault traces in his book. It would be worth to pursue for a future paper or journal.

This is great by the way. It had been a while since I thought about art history subjects.

As far as Italian music is concerned, I have been stuck in the Laura Pausini era since the ’90s. You could use some of her love songs. Gianlucca Grignari (sp?) used to be famous in Albania as well. Good luck friend.

Very interesting thoughts. I never really thought about it, but what stands out to me right this moment is the distinction between ancient Greek or Roman art and Modern. I wonder what brought about the change? Anyway, I am taking note of all your Paris museum suggestions as we are planning a trip to Europe this coming summer, and I really really really want to go to Paris.
